Hey everyone;

How is everyone doing? I hope all is well, hope everyone had an awesome Christmas and hope everyone has an awesome New Year.

2021 is FINALLY coming to an end, thank goodness, this has been a bitter sweet year for me, wish it was bit better but unfortunately that was out of my control.

Some accomplishments were made, Swans Ontario is now soaring, made the logo for the club which will be in some of the communities in Ontario and another huge news that happened right after one of our darkest times in our family’s lives.

Here’s were the darkest time happened. If you haven’t followed me on instagram, I’ll fill you guys and girls in about what happened. You probably remember me talking about our family dog Gracie the Cockapoo, who we had for 6 years. When we first got her, she was a rescue and we were told she was at least 5, (she may have been older). Well, late August, she ran into serious health issues, and we took her to the vet immediately and they had no idea what happened. So she was on a lot of medication for a week until on Labour Day Monday, she was no longer eating and staring at nothing. We tried everything to help her but because of her declining health, we unfortunately made the decision to put her to sleep. We miss her dearly, the household was not the same, was very quiet. None of us could stand it. Not too long after that, my Dad made the decision that we were getting another Cockapoo. This was were the turning point happened.

After some searching, we finally made a breeder who had a few Cockapoo puppies. We travelled quite a way to meet the puppies (and their parents), we had a hard time choosing one puppy but one of them made it easy for us, this is where our story with “Miracle Mindy“ would start.

We brought Mindy home that very night, was a very quiet puppy at first but after a few days she started feeling like she was home. Slept a lot, played a lot, just being a little puppy. But things would go downhill after one Friday evening. Three weeks after getting Mindy, Mindy would become seriously sick. We took her to the vet that following Saturday but because she was acting like a puppy during that visit, the vet staff thought nothing was wrong rather than an ear infection. But once we got her back, she was laying low, didn’t eat or drink (we had to get her to eat and drink), we struggled with her. We brought her back to the vet that following Monday, and it turned out, she had numerous issues, enlarged kidneys, liver issues, jaundice and dehydrated. We thought we were going to lose her but thanks to my younger sister Renita, who is a vet tech, she managed to save Mindy, for over a week she had to give her meds, give her IVs, feed her and making sure she was all right. Without Renita and her work, Mindy would not be here today.

Today, Miracle Mindy is doing great! She is a very spoiled puppy, so much energy, so much fun. She‘s now in puppy school, having fun with other dogs and puppies she has met while visiting family and friends, loves her treats (especially puppicinos) and enjoying every moment with the family. It’s also the main reason rather than work that I’ve been busy, just trying to take care of Mindy.

Honestly, I still miss Gracie, I still think about her everyday (along with others who are no longer with us, like my grandparents, previous pets, etc.) but because of Gracie, we wouldn’t have met Mindy. I’m so glad Gracie was a part of our lives and none of us will ever forget how much of an awesome dog she was.

So now I got that out of the way, I think my New Years resolution is going to try coming on here a little bit more and try getting more drawings done, I‘ve been struggling a bit for quite sometime so I’m hoping to get back to it as soon as possible. Hopefully 2022 is a turning point. What’s your New Year’s resolution going to be? Feel free to comment below.

I hope everyone has a safe and happy 2022! I know it’s been a difficult time with everything going on but hopefully things will get better in 2022, stay positive everyone! Hope to talk to you all soon!

If anyone wants to follow me on instagram and wants to see Mindy, my rabbits or other things such as food, etc. I’ll send you a private message with my username.

💕 Until then, take care! 💕

Hello everyone!

Hello everyone!

How is everyone doing? I hope all is well and everyone is healthy.

So even though I’ve uploaded a few drawings since my last journal, it’s been almost a year since I’ve wrote a journal (and I need to do better showing up here as it has been a while since I’ve uploaded something). Believe I had a difficult time trying to figure out how to upload a journal the last time I was here but now I’ve figured it out, thank goodness.

So how am I doing? What happened during the past couple of years, especially during COVID? I’ve been doing good, my family and I have been very fortunate not to have gotten COVID so far, we had been extra careful and we’re getting vaccinated, which is a good thing, we try keeping everyone safe. Obviously busy, I’ve been very fortunate to have been working throughout this entire time, trying to help out businesses, advertise, etc. Matter of fact, majority of my family has been working throughout this entire time doing what they do best at, helping people out in their own way, which is great but right when I finish work, I have to take care of my family once I get home, make meals, clean up a bit and by the end of the day, I just end up being really exhausted. Just a part of life. I also have a dog, a cat and two rabbits to take care of as well, so it has been very busy.

Not only I’ve been just working, I’ve also been part of a community club, the Lioness Club, this particular club helps out around the communities from donating / fundraising to serving meals and other things. I was invited to join this club by one of our good family friends that we’ve known for years, of course I’ve accepted and not only that, I want to follow my Grandfather’s legacy, he helped out around his communities as well as a Lions Member (so did my Grandmother but she wasn’t a Lions member but would have been a great Lioness member) so, I want to honour their memory and continue on with what they did. But the club I was originally in; The Lions Club, disband the branch so the Lioness Club no longer exists. Which meant the club I was in along with others had three choices, join the Lions Club, fold or make a new club…. we ended up making a new club. And after months of planning, the SWANS Ontario took flight as of July 1st. And since I’m a Graphic Designer, they’ve requested me to make the logo for the club, so now the logo I’ve created will be all over Ontario (the province that is) which is really exciting, it’s probably one of my biggest accomplishment I’ve ever done. I can’t post it here obviously since it’s part of SWANS Ontario but if anyone wants to check it out, just type up “SWANS Ontario” on Facebook and you’ll find the group and the logo. Plus if you happen to live in the province and want to help your community, Ontario could always use more SWANS, we’re happy to accept new members.

As for my drawings, with everything going on, it was on a stand still (a long stand still), I’m going to try catching up and I do apologize for some of you waiting for their commissions, I’ll try getting it done as soon as I can, I know some of you have been waiting for a long time. But I’ll get to it. I’ve also been doing some digital art (whenever I got the time) so I’ll be posting those at some point, when they’re done anyway, so stay posted.

I also notice that I have a few new watchers and lots of people favouriting my art still, just want to say thanks to everyone for your continued support over the past couple of years. I‘ll try to thank you personally and hopefully we can become friends.

Anyways, that’s all I have for now, don’t want to make this journal any longer then it has to be. Hope to talk to you all very soon. And I hope everyone is okay and staying healthy. :)

Hey everyone;

How is everyone doing? I hope all is well and that everyone is staying safe. I know outside of DA has been a bit crazy with everything going on such as the COVID-19. Just want to give an update that so far my family including myself are doing okay so far. A lot of my family members are part of the medical field or are considered essential workers and we've been taking extra precaution to make sure everyone stays safe. We hope everyone else takes same precautions as we do, stay home if you're not feeling well, wear a mask, take proper hygiene and of course, be vigilante.

However, some exciting news to mention, it's now officially 11 years since I've joined DA! (unfortunately, I missed the 10 year anniversary, forgive me for I have sinned XD). I might try holding something at some point for the 11 years of DA, just need to figure things out. But there is things I want to mention about which I'll be mentioning here on this journal.

Seeing me a bit more frequent here on DA

I know I've said that previously but I am slowly getting back to my artist roots since the passing of my grandparents, I know this is something they would have want me to continued on and I'm hoping to doing so.

Keep in mind that I am working full time as a Graphic Designer outside of DA, but since this whole COVID-19 situation started, my hours have been reduced, hoping to continue on with art projects, commissions, etc. With that being said...

More Digital Art

I hope everyone is enjoying seeing the digital art that is now showing up slowly in my gallery. It does take some time so I'm hoping to maybe put out at least one to two digital art pieces per month if possible. Criticism is always welcomed, I'm always trying to improve my digital art skills and helps me improve as an artist so like I said, criticism is welcomed ... speaking of digital art.

Remaking certain art pieces in DIGITAL FORM

In honour of my 11 years here on DA, I will be remaking certain pieces of my drawings in Digital form, if anyone wants to see a remake of a certain pictures from my gallery, feel free to comment below, however, I will not be recreating previous requests or commissions in digital form as it would be considered unfair to those have asked or commissioned an art piece. With that being said...

Possibly getting a table in Artist Alley for a Future Con?

This is something I'm actually going to be looking into, obviously I'm not ready to do this at the moment as I don't have enough digital art pieces and seeing as the cons are cancelled for this year and possibly next year depending on how we're doing with COVID-19, this is probably a good time to do some catch up. I am open to different anime, video game, movie ideas so if you have any suggestions, by all means, let me know but keep in mind there is certain companies that won't allow artists to sell frank such as Disney. I'm also hoping to make prints for some of the remakes.

Commissions

Some of the commissions are still being worked on, I should be able some of you sometime in the future. Stay tune. Also accepting commissions currently, if you are interested, feel free to message me anytime.

Finally, final words about Fetish art

I know some of you guys and girls started watching me due to the fetish art, which is great, glad you guys and girls enjoyed it. I know I've talked about it in the previous journals, but as of today, I will no longer be drawing fetish art. I had issues several years ago were certain individuals (will not be mentioning names) would continuously ask for the same fetish art but with different characters which got to the point were I got a bit uncomfortable. It got to the point were I had to request certain individuals to try coming up with something else rather than the same thing over and over again.

Despite how I've mentioned it the last time that I'm no longer accepting fetish art, I still had individuals asking for more fetish art. Even got dragged into one without knowing what it actually was until midway through the art piece. Which obviously, if I knew better, I probably wouldn't have done it.

If you're into a fetish, have nothing against you guys and girls, if you enjoy that sort of thing, power to ya and I do apologize, I just don't want to be known as a fetish artist, it wasn't my intentions.

However, I'm happy to draw other things as long as it's appropriate for everyone.

Anyways, that's it for now, thank you to everyone who have been supporting me during these 11 years! And I hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

Hey everyone!
How is everyone doing? I hope all is well.

Quick update about commissions, I’ve decided to open commissions up once again and even accepted a couple of new commissions since my return. Which is fantastic, I’m still working on previous commissions, I’ll try getting it done as soon as I can. Can’t wait to get back into drawing! :D

However, I do have unfortunate news...

Usually, when I accept a commission, I usually give you guys a choice whether you want to pay for it before or after the commission is done, unfortunately I ran into an incident were someone asked for a commission, demanding it and then didn’t pay for it, and even going as far as ignoring my message when I’ve mentioned the cost of the commission. That’s not cool...

I won’t mention anyone’s names as I rather not have the individual’s page spammed with terrible comments. But I figure to give you guys and girls a heads up.

I get it, you don’t want to lose points for something that you’ve pay for and then not get your commission, however I do not want to encourage “free” art from commissioners as some of these artists, commission art for a living, so they can afford month’s rent, food, etc.

Due to this incident, commissions will have to be paid for PRIOR to the commission getting started. If you haven’t paid for commission and were suppose to (unless told otherwise), I will not be accepting any commissions until the previous ones were paid for.

Apologies for the inconvenience, I hope I didn’t sound too rude.

I do hope that everyone has an awesome day!

Hey everyone!

It has been way too long, it's 2020, I've passed the 10 year anniversary here on DA and a lot of things have been happening in my life that has caused me to be busy. From getting a full time job as a Graphic Designer to taking care not one but two awesome rabbits (plus a dog and some cats) but anyways, how is everyone doing? I hope is well.

Anyways, I do have a quick update about what's going on, I've decided that maybe this would be a good time to slowly get back into drawing, it has been really challenging to get back into it since the passing of two of my grandparents plus there's other stuff that is probably for the best not to mention on the internet because you know? Personal reasons. I know deep down, my grandparents would want me to continue doing what I enjoy the most and move on.

As for commissions, I know there had been people waiting for their commissions, and I deeply apologize for that, I am still trying to complete some commissions, so here's what I'm going to do. If you already paid for your commission, the next fully coloured traditional commission will be for FREE. To those who wanted a commission and haven't paid for a commission, you'll be getting that commission for free. (You must provide proof that you've requested your commission, will not be excepting it without proof, unless I've remembered your commission)

I'm also changing some things to the commissions, however, it's ONLY going to affect the digital art, traditional art prices are still going to stay the same, however, the reason why the digital art prices are changing is because it can be time-consuming. After working on a few digital art pieces, I realize how much time I've put into each piece and I rather not encourage cheap labour for digital art wise. So ONLY the digital art prices will increase, traditional art will stay the same.

Anyways, that's it for now, hopefully I'll have a longer journal for you soon. Until then, I hope to talk to you all soon! :)
