Hey everyone,

How is everyone doing? I hope everyone is doing awesome! :D

Now usually I would talk about anime and video games. But did you know? Rather then those things, I'm also a fan of Harry Potter?

Yeah, believe it or not, I am a fan of the Harry Potter series, I've read all the books, watched the movies and even dressed up as a Hogwarts student back in elementary school (during the last few years of elementary school anyway). But that's not what I'm going to talk about, I'm actually going to talk about the well known Harry Potter website known as "Pottermore", a lot of fans probably know about this website for quite some time, so why am I mentioning it now? Might as well mention a story first:

I remember when this website was first released and I can remember that the website having a very dark background, basic website layout, animated gifs and just had the quiz on this website (it probably had different features back then but the quiz is all I could remember). I remember my sisters, my cousins and myself each taking a turn to do this quiz. Both my sisters got Gryffindor and I was the only one that ended up with Hufflepuff and I remember always getting upset because I wanted to be in Gryffindor. And during that time, you can do that quiz multiple times so its like this, if you were in a house that you didn't like, and you wanted to be in another house that you want to be in, you can take that quiz multiple times until you get the house you wanted. So, you guys and girls probably figured out what I was doing afterwards...

So, back to present time. I found out that the Pottermore website had a huge update (believe it or not, found out through Facebook) and I've also found out that J.K Rowling, the creator of the Harry Potter series had a huge contribution to this website. So like many Harry Potter fans, I've decided to check it out.

And oh my goodness, it went through a huge change. Might as well mention it here:

• The website layout has been updated, it's now meets the standards of a modern website and very easy to navigate.

• It now includes notes from J.K Rowling, from character profiles, to house's common rooms, to the locations, illustrations and many other information. I learned so many things now about this world, a lot more then reading the Harry Potter books.

• You didn't do this before, but you do have to sign up in order to use Pottermore (if you're concern about the cost, don't worry, it's for free)

• You can now receive newsletters from the Harry Potter world (which I thought was pretty cool as well).

• And instead of one quiz, there are actually two quizzes, of course, one being the sorting hat and the other is about your wand. But here's the twist, you only do these quizzes once, so once you do the quizzes, that's what you have to go for. Plus you can share the news through Social media as well as download content based around your house.

Now to those who are wondering. What house did I get?

Well, many years later, there are times (doesn't happen often) were I was wondering, why Hufflepuff? Why that house out of all the houses? Eventually I just got use to it and say I was part of the Hufflepuff house whenever the conversation of the quiz came up (which again, didn't often happen). So before I did the quiz, I questioned, "Am I still in Hufflepuff? Or Am I part of another house?" And I know, once I take this quiz, the end result will be my official house, there's no turning back. So I took the quiz and the house I've ended up being in....

Hufflepuff

Can't believe, many years after I took the quiz the first time, I still ended up being in Hufflepuff and I found out why. Listen to this:

"Hufflepuff - Loyal, patient, fair, hard-working and true."

Now when I really think about it, it is true. I want to be loyal to my family and friends, I am patient, I try playing fair and I do try to work hard. So in the end, I can see why I'm part of this house. And looking at it now, I'm proud being in Hufflepuff and I think many others would too. So yeah, have to say, I'm happy with the end result because this house mentions the real me.

As for my sisters, my older sister artistic-honda ended up getting Hufflepuff (which took her a while to convince to take the quiz since she probably thought of herself being in Gryffindor, lol) and my younger sister random-artist-200 ended up getting Ravenclaw.

As for my wand...

Alder Wood with a Phoenix Feather Core and 12 1/2 inches in length.

Might as well mention each section:

"Alder - Alder is an unyielding wood, yet I have discovered that its ideal owner is not stubborn or obstinate, but often helpful, considerate and most likeable. Whereas most wand woods seek similarity in the characters of those they will best serve, alder is unusual in that it seems to desire a nature that is, if not precisely opposite to its own, then certainly of a markedly different type. When an alder wand is happily placed, it becomes a magnificent, loyal helpmate. Of all wand types, alder is best suited to non-verbal spell work, whence comes its reputation for being suitable only for the most advanced witches and wizards."

"Phoenix - This is the rarest core type. Phoenix feathers are capable of the greatest range of magic, though they may take longer than either unicorn or dragon cores to reveal this. They show the most initiative, sometimes acting of their own accord, a quality that many witches and wizards dislike. Phoenix feather wands are always the pickiest when it comes to potential owners, for the creature from which they are taken is one of the most independent and detached in the world. These wands are the hardest to tame and to personalise, and their allegiance is usually hard won."

"12 1/2 inches length - Most wands will be in the range of between nine and fourteen inches. While I have sold extremely short wands (eight inches and under) and very long wands (over fifteen inches), these are exceptionally rare. In the latter case, a physical peculiarity demanded the excessive wand length. However, abnormally short wands usually select those in whose character something is lacking, rather than because they are physically undersized (many small witches and wizards are chosen by longer wands)."

~ J.K Rowling.

So yeah, that's my house and my wand, guess you learn a little bit about me through these quizzes.

So, I want to ask everyone. Are you a Harry Potter fan? Which house are you in? And what wand chose you?

Feel free to mention it down below in the comment section and if you're interested in signing up for Pottermore, the website link is down below:
